Hey there!

I've been meaning to post. Would love for you to submit a 'Readers Reading' recording if you'd like. You might also get a kick out of a session I'm leading at Book Camp Toronto this June. I'm inviting participants to simultaneously perform a one minute passage from one of their favourite books. Can't say it will sound pretty, but it should be a nice testament to the voice of the reader!

Take care.

Hi Jason,
I found your web site thanks to Google. Jessie Alexander was my great-great grandaunt and I too have been researching her, although I am sure that you have gotten farther than I have. She was a pretty fascinating woman and well remembered in my family. I would be happy to help you in your research if you need any family information. I don't know if you are aware, but her brother William Walker Alexander was also a well-known artist/engraver. His work is easily found with Google.

Feel free to contact me at nbray1@gmail.com

All the best,
Nancy Bray

Re: Ernest Guy Pertwee

My mother was taught by Pertwee (uncle of the actor Jon Pertwee) at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London, circa 1937. She always referred to him as "Guy Pertwee" and I presume that this was the name by which he was usually known, albeit a middle name.
